Milton Glass is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Directors of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and a member of all the Board committees. Prior to being elected Chair Emeritus, he was Chair of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Board from 1991 to 2001. Milton joined the Blue Shield Board in 1968.
Milton retired in 1993 from his position as Vice President of Finance and Chief Investor Relations Officer for the Gillette Company. He was responsible for the company's investor relations from 1974 through 1993, during which time the company fought off two takeover attempts. With Gillette for 41 years, he also served as Vice-President-Treasurer.
He is currently an adjunct Professor of Finance at Northeastern University and plays a leadership role in a wide range of business, civic, and charitable organizations. He is the immediate past Chair and member of the Board of The Forsyth Institute, and co-founder, with his wife Renee, of the Jaw, Joints & Allied Musculo-Skeletal Disorders Foundation.
He served for many years as visiting overseer of Harvard Medical and Dental School, Chairman of the International Business Center in New England, Trustee of Arthur D. Little Management Education Institute, and Director of the Medical Diagnostics Company.
